Dnipropetrovsk Medical University (DSMA) was established in the year September 15, 1916. The main motive of founding this university is providing higher education in various departments specifically to women. The place is basically is famous for industries as more than 40% industry of Ukraine is located in Dnipropetrovsk. In other words, it is also known as the manufactural or industrial city of Ukraine. Not only this but also Dnipropetrovsk Medical University is one of the most seasonal higher education foundations of Ukraine. It is one of the ancient educational institutions which is associated with the 4th highest level of accreditation in the country.
Dnipropetrovsk Medical University has got the status of a national university in the year 1920 and finally, it is featured as National Ukraine MBBS university.
There is a total of 646 teachers, 98 experienced doctors of medical sciences, 359 candidates of medical sciences, 2 corresponding members of national, 1 academician of medical sciences, 359 candidates of medical sciences. So in total, it has more than 1100 faculty members which are great. Not every medical university in Ukraine invest so much in the faculties. Dnipropetrovsk Medical University offers a preparatory department for foreign students. The institute trains specialists in all the seven faculties of English, Ukrainian as well as Russian languages. Presently more than 4500 students are studying in the university out of which about 700 students are from other countries which is a good number. Not only this but also Dnipropetrovsk Medical University has offered training above 1000 foreign specialists till date. The university covers an area of around 85 hectares.
Dnipropetrovsk Medical University has 19 professors as well as 58 associate professors who teach at the Faculty of Postgraduate education in the university. It has 8 academic building which covers 608 classrooms as well as laboratories.
